A Critical Care Unit Nurse Director is needed at a growing hospital just minutes away from the sparkling turquoise water of Panama City Beach, Florida.
The 250-bed Medical Center is recognized nationally for quality of care and is the midst of large capital improvement project and expnasion. It is looking for a Manager ready to serve as a Director on this 35-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit.
The Critical Care Unit Nurse Director will direct the clinical administrative services, activities, and patient delivery related to the provision of nursing care at this hospitals 35-bed MICU unit. The position will have oversight over 130 FTEs.
The Critical Care Unit Nurse Director will assume the responsibility for strategic planning, budgeting and evaluating performance in assigned areas.
Other duties in this position include:
- Responsible for clinical education of staff to ensure competencies are maintained.
- Provides for staff recruitment, selection, training, supervision, evaluation and disciplinary actions.
- Consults with CNO and Human Resources, as needed, regarding correction actions.
- Consults with CNO concerning management of assigned departments(s) and all related matters.
