With one of the most advanced cancer centers in New Jersey, this hospital currently conducts over 300 ongoing clinical trials and offers treatment care plans for all types and stages of cancer. Reporting to the Nurse Manager of Oncology Services and the House Supervisor, the Night Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager will oversee the inpatient oncology unit, accountable for operational work flow, staffing assignments of the clinical and non clinical department staff and technicians, and conflict resolution. Additionally, the Night Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager will support their team through cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient care treatment plans, assist with direct patient care as needed, and be a resource for the employees and families of the unit.
The ideal Night Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager will be an active RN, have previous leadership experience with a recent clinical background in inpatient oncology, medical-surgical, telemetry, or chemotherapy/biotherapy. Although not required, the Night Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager will be OCN, ONS, ONCC, or AOCNS certified. In addition, the Night Oncology Assistant Nursing Manager will be excited to motivate teams, develop new goals and initiatives, effectively communicate and cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, focused on delivering exceptional patient care, and up to date on best practices, technology, and techniques.
