A long-standing acute care hospital located in upstate New York is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Emergency Services to join their accredited healthcare team.

The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will assist the Nursing Director of the unit lead the 40+ bed Emergency Department. The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will work within one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the region that cares for roughly 50,000 patients annually. The Emergency department is open 24/7 and the Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will take full accountability of the operations of the unit. This facility is also a designated NYS Stroke Center that offers immediate and enhanced brain imaging and evaluation for patients who may be suffering from stroke or stroke-like symptoms. Additionally, this state-of-the-art medical institution is proud to be a recipient of the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Award which means this clinical team truly focuses on acute, high-risk, and time sensitive treatment as it related to cardiac disease.
The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will provide overall clinical and operational management to the department on a 24-hour basis. The ideal Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will have strong leadership skills as well as communication and collaboration skills in order to work effectively and efficiently with the clinical and administrative team. As the Nurse Manager of Emergency Services, you will be responsible for all human resource, fiscal, and compliance functions of the unit. The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will report to the unit Nurse Director and will be supported by an advanced team of nurse supervisors, nurse educators, and many other ancillary individuals throughout the hospital.
